Forward...

I guess in some sense this blog is about moving forward and into a more suitable niche.  My affinity for gambling has always been strong, but my preference for poker was perhaps not the wisest of inclinations.  It is now that I turn my gambling towards a more suitable avenue for my skill set… and that venue would be the realm of sports gambling.

I know what you're thinking… this guy is out of his mind.  Nobody can make a living from gambling.  And you might be right; but I aim to find out.

So I march forward, and that march has led me to this "system" for looking at the area of sports gambling.  The first thing I need in other to place a wager is to find a home underdog.  The reasons for this are many, but the most profound would be a huge psychological edge for the home squad.  It's all about them, and the logo on the center of the home team's sports arena is all I need to see.

In accordance with this blog's namesake, I need a home underdog, to get my interest.  Once I see that, then I look for further compelling reasons to place  wager. Perhaps the most compelling reason would be for the  home team to have a stud player with a strong character and winning history.  For instance, It might have a stud QB.  It might have an excellent goalie, which as you might know, can single handedly alter the course of a game.  It might have a stellar coach.  Either way, simply being the home dog is not enough alone to make the wager.  I need more of an impetus.

That is the basis of this blog. To identify the best prospects for beating the sports betting line. It is not to offer my advice, but rather a guide that I can use to rationalize my own decision making process.

I'll be scouring the field looking my best prospects.  I hope you'll join me.

Thank you for reading.
